Carnivorous bats with dirty grey fur, hairless snout, strong teeth and wings spanning three to four feet that end in bony protrusions as sharp as knives along the outermost digit. Razorbats have been known to attack humanoids, but mostly eat smaller animals and carrion. They are nocturnal animals that mostly live in caves and caverns, both near the surface and underground wildlife.
Although not naturally aggressive unless hunting, Razorbats present a substantial threat when panicked into fleeing their nests: while an individual cut from their wings is unlikely to prove dangerous, a swarm can inflict enough such cuts in seconds to bleed a humanoid to death in short order. Razorbats have also been documented to have attacjed light sources within caverns.
